I think that you would love NY. the fashion there is to die for and there is so much going on! You and that military jacket haha I think you will have the piece forever. In the mean time seeing the layout like this I have to say I love how you play with proportions and can change the whole effect of a shirt just by adding a long cardigan and short jacket. Really fashion is about playing with the shapes and dressing for your body at the end of the day you could wear any types of prints, but if it doesn't fit it just doesn't fit.
