DEAR READERS,

I am so sorry for not posting anything for the past 2 weeks, I have been EXTREMELY BUSY! And didn’t have any time to snap some shots to post....
This weekend was amazing tho, because after the hectic past few days, all I did was stay at home, wearing my pj´s and did nothing, which is exactly what I needed and since Im geting my wisdom teeth out on thursday, I needed all the relaxation possible (I am terribly scared of needles and hospitals and blood and everything that has to do with that)
I promise I’ll be posting this week or weekend!!!

Perdón por mi falta de actualizaciones pero es que en las ultimas dos semanas he estado ocupadísima y ni tiempo me ha dado de nada.

Este fin desemana estubo increible, por que las ultimas 2 semanas fueron de muerte y lo unico que hice en el fin, fue quedarme en mi casa, viendo peliculas en pijama todo el día, justo lo que necesitaba para recuperarme y con eso de que me sacan las muelas del juicio el jueves, necesitaba concentrarme y calmarme un poco haha (le tengo un miedo espantoso a las jeringas, pero en fin).

Les prometo que en la semana o el fin actualizo y me pongo al corriente :)

DIY: TWENTY8TWELVE SEQUINED SHOULDERS

I couldnt wait for a whole season to start with this project, so I decided to get my hands on it last weekend.
It is so easy and quick to recreate, you just need a pair of big shoulder pads, a long sleeve shirt & sequins (I bought the ones who are already sewn together).
I will try to wear it this weekend, to show you how it looks like.
I didnt take pics while I was sewing them because I sat down and did it watching TV, and got so caught up, that I completely forgot that I was supposed to document the process, Im sorry!!!

La verdad no me pude esperar una temporada completa para recrear esta belleza, asi que el fin de semana pasado, me puse manos a la obra con mi proyecto.

Esta super fácil y rapido, lo único que necesitas son unas hombreras, una playera de manga larga y lentejuelas (yo compé las que ya estaban cosidas en tira).
Me la voy a tratar de poner en el fin para enseñarles como quedó.

ITS BALMAIN BABY

I, like most of you, ADORE BALMAIN.

I would wear absolutely everything Christophe designs and when I say everything, I mean it.

I have to confess, I was anxiously waiting for this collection to come out and the months I had to wait seemed long, let me tell you that.

Yesterday, when I finally laid my eyes on it (thanks to style.com) I fell in love, I knew I would do, but I wasnt WOWED.

Dont get me wrong tho! I LOVE the collection, but there is something about it that I have seen before (the previous 2 seasons of Balmain)

I see the same shapes (although, I have to say, I am SO into shoulder pads now), but the jackets have the same shapes we saw last season and some of the dresses too.

Its a little monochromatic with splashes of electric blue, here and there. We see leather, we see studs, we see sequins & big shoulders which we have already seen last season.

It is very Christophe and it has the modern BALMAIN Rock and Roll glam stamp all over it.

He just blew me away last season and I´m still completely obsessed with that collection, I will be for a while I think, maybe last season was a strike of genius and as much as I love this new collection, his last one will always be one of my favourites (SO FAR!).

Creo que tengo una ligera obsesión por BALMAIN, tal vez tu también.

Te juro que me pondría absolutamente todo lo que Christophe diseña y cuando digo todo, lo digo en serio.

He estado esperando esta coleccion por meses y aunque la espera se me hizo un poco larga, ayer por fin (gracias a style.com) pude admirar Balmain otravez y por mucho que me fascino, no me impactó, como la coleccion de primavera/verano.

No lo vayas a malinterpretar, no es que no me haya gustado, ¡AL CONTRARIO!

El problema es, que siento que es algo que ya habíamos visto antes (en sus colecciones pasadas)

Yo veo los blazers y chamarras con los mismos cortes, veo estoperoles, veo lentejuelas, y veo esas hombreras tipo 80´s (¡que por cierto me tienen loca! haha).

Todo es increiblemente estetico y perfecto, el único problema es que siento que ya no es novedoso, por que ya lo habíamos visto antes.

Tal vez es por que yo me obsesioné con su coleccion pasada y ahora todo lo comparo con ella.

Igual esta coleccion me fascina y probablemente me veras haciendo algunos proyectos DIY es un futuro, peor para mi, su coleccion de Primavera/Verano, siempre va a ser mi favorita (al menos hasta ahora).

DIY: PINK PANEL SKIRT

For some weird reason, I am really into bright pink at the moment, so I decided to make a pink panel mini and here is what came out...

P.S The blue tape on my knee, its because I had an injury and my doctor didn´t have pink tape anymore, in case you were wondering, lol ;).

Por alguna extraña razón, de pronto me dió por el Rosa fucsia, asi que decidí hacerme una mini de ese color y esto es lo que salió :) ...

P.S La cinta azúl que se me ve en la rodilla, es por que tengo una lesión y mi fisioterapeuta no tenia cinta rosa, haha ;), por si te preguntabas :)

BLACK & GREY

I figured I should wear the combination of black and grey while I still can, because to be perfectly honest, I think I will try to stay away from those colors on spring and summer!!

I will probably have some pops of neon yellow, pink and orange, maybe even forest green (like that amazing Balmain sequin dress) but there is always infinite posibilities when it comes to clothes.

The Spring/Summer shows had so much to offer and so many different things to play with, so I´m sure we will make something work .

Just dont think I´ll stop wearing the "Boyfriend Blazer", that I will keep, maybe with a pair of bleached denim shorts or bright color mini skirts, oh so many options!!!

What will you be wearing for Spring??

Creo que voy a utilizar esta combinación de gris y negro mientras pueda, por que la verdad, no pienso usarla en lo absoluto para Primavera o Verano.

Para esas temporadas, voy a irme con el amarillo fosforescente, rosa, blanco, beige y tal vez verde bosque (¡Como el vesido de lentejuelas de Balmain!).

¡Pero para que limitarme, si hay posibilidades infinitas!

Las pasarelas para Primavera y Verano tienen tantas opciones, que va a ser super diverido combinarlas y mas con todos los colores que siendo honestas, ¡Van a atraer muchas miradas!

BEFORE THE WINTER ENDS...

We can already feel the weather warming up a little bit and that can only mean one thing; Spring is around the corner!!!

I cant say Im going to miss the winter, but there are some items in my closet, which I will defenetely miss wearing, like this cape from ZARA.

I love the colors, I love the shape, I love everything about it basically!!!

I cant wait to wear all the things I have in store for spring & summer tho, so it is a small price to pay!

Ya hace mas calorsito afuera, no exagerado, pero si unos 5 grados mas, que a estas alturas y en los Paises Bajos, es un grán avance hacia primavera.

No te voy a decir que voy a extrañar el invierno, ¡Por que eso me haria la persona mas mentirosa del planeta!, pero lo que si voy a extrañar, son algunas prendas que usé este invierno, como esta capa/sueter de ZARA.

Me encantan los colores, el corte,la tela, mas bien, me fascina todo.

Pero ya me muero de las ansias de poder experimentar con todas las tendencias de primavera, asi que el no poder usar mi capa hasta el invierno que viene, ¡no es tan malo después de todo!
